I knew it was a BOOK when I got it so the DVD inside the cover was a welcomed bonus for me. I worked up a good sweat just with the sample DVD. That was the icing on the cake in my book. I just started going to the zumba classes at my gym and I love the program! Just bought the Zumba Exhilarate DVDs and I just love them! I have the zumba wii game, not only are you excersising but it’s actually fun! The DVDs have a beginner section to show you the steps, and with any of the Zumba DVDs u get, u can go at your own pace. Has anyone tried both the Zumba dvd’s and the Zumba game for WII? And does the zumba diet system work well with it? I started a variation of a no carb diet and started the zumba dvds. Zumba has been a blast and I have only done the ab workout dvd and the tone and sculpt dvd! I just started the DVD’s and they are fun! I have never been able to find the an exercise regimen that I like and I have to say that I really love ZUMBA! I started out taking a zumba class and LOVED it so much I purchased the dvds. I have been doing the zumba for wii I currently have 2 kids and a full time job so it is hard for me to get to a gym.

As an individual who values fitness and has taken several Zumba classes, I found the book to be useful in many respects. The diet portion of the book was particularly useful. I also appreciated Beto's story and the provided background information about Zumba. The diet and the workout instructions were basic. The DVD was not worth it. When I came upon this book with the history of Zumba written by its creator, I was intrigued. The first section, about Zumba itself including the author's early experience and how he came to develop Zumba was pretty interesting. Before creating and launching Zumba in the U. There is a nice introduction by the author with personal stories and his motivation in developing Zumba. I am very impressed with the food choices and the food combinations. And the video with this book was not a work out, it was barely a video. When I grabbed this book of the shelf, I didn't realize it was a weight-loss guide as well as the story of Zumba. I like some of the recipes and the dance steps. I did learn a little more about the history of zumba, but not much else. Skip the book and get the DVDs.
